Huttons’ comments on SRX’s resale condo report for Aug 2021

In the absence of major launches in September, buyers turned to the resale market for their housing needs.

While the tighter restrictions from Sept 27 may have a slight impact on sales, signs are pointing to a peak in demand in the resale market. Transaction volume have been hovering around 1,800 units for three months.

With price resistance in the HDB resale market setting in, it will have a knock on effect on prices and transaction volume of private homes in the OCR in the months ahead.
