The new Tanglin Halt integrated development will be a new landmark in the area. It is nice to note that some elements of the old food centre and market will be incorporated in the new development. A new polyclinic is much welcomed so that residents do not need to travel to either Clementi or Queenstown to see a doctor.
It will be a PLH BTO similar to Tanglin Halt Cascadia which was launched for sale in Oct 2023. The new blocks of flats could possibly exceed 40 storeys and may yield between 700 and 800 flats. The types of flats may range from 2-room flexi to 4-room to cater to a wide range of buyers who want to stay in this landmark development. Prices for a 4-room flat could start from $550,000 and be as high as $720,000.
The flats at Commonwealth View are likely to see even more interest after the announcement. They are much sought after for the location and views. Furthermore, there are no restrictions on resale unlike PLH flats. There may be more million-dollar flats in Commonwealth View in the future.
